Benefits Working from Home (Day 3 Kids Schedules)

There are so many rewards and benefits working from home.  Flexible schedule, creating your own routine, not answering to anyone, and the ability to work around your kids schedules.  At different stages of life, your kids need you more or less depending on their age and level of participation in different activities.  Working from home you and your children can benefit from your flexible schedule.

Take a listen to my video to hear all about the benefits working from home and being there for my kids activities, appointments and sporting events:

I have been able to be at most to all of my kids events throughout the years because of my flexible schedule and working from home. There are so many stages of life, activities and events I am so fortunate I didn’t miss out on working from home.  Here are a few of those events I was able to be present and work around with a flexible schedule and being my own boss.

Preschool through Elementary:

  • Field trips
  • Celebrating birthdays and bringing in goodies
  • Halloween parties and other holiday events
  • Teacher Conferences
  • Chorus Concerts
  • Volunteering in the classroom or at the school
  • Being part of the School Council and PTO
  • Homework
  • Being able to be at the bus stop
  • Not paying for before or after school care
  • Available if they got sick or needed to stay home

Middle through High School:

  • Sporting events
  • Field trips
  • Orthodontist appointments
  • Available if they got sick or needed to stay home
  • College visits
  • Driving lessons
  • Picking up from school

These are just a few of the many occasions I was able to attend and being part of with my children.  These are memories we will have forever and I am grateful I had and still have the opportunity to be part of it with them.
