Unwinding but Staying on Track (Workouts)

Vacations are a time to relax, enjoy and have less structure.  There are a few things that are a non negotiable for me on vacation.  One of those is getting in my workouts.  It is something I am passionate about, I value and need for my mind and body.  It is not a time for me to completely let go of everything.  I will be more relaxed for sure but not letting go of things that are most important to me.

So many people feel vacation is a free for all from their daily routine.  Yes, it is a time for spontaneity and to have less structure.  What about the things you value?  Do you continue with those on vacations? It is important to keep structure and have a routine with the things important to you.  I feel exercise is important to stay consistent while on vacation to keep you energized, focused and feeling good.

During vacations, it can be an opportunity to change up some of your routine and try something new, different and out of the ordinary.  This can add some variety and bring joy to your life.

Here are a few ideas:

  • Running
  • Walking the beach
  • Frisbee
  • Football
  • Corn hole
  • Paddle Boarding
  • Kayaking
