Living for Balance (Kindness) Part 2 of 6

Kindness – the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Warmth, gentleness, concern, care, thoughtfulness, selflessness, compassion, big heartedness.

Take a listen as I share my experience and life lessons in taking the time to show kindness each day.

Sharing these attributes brings so much warmth to the heart.  Do you have people in your life that exemplify these traits?  We are so busy in our lives that sometimes we don’t take the time and effort to be kind to others.  People are hurting everyday, feeling stressed and depressed, which in turn causes anger and irritability.  When we treat each other with respect and kindness it brings joy to others and peace within us.

Recently, I was fortunate enough to spend a few days with my Uncle before he passed, for which I am so thankful.  During those few days with him, I learned so much about taking the time to make others feel special and the importance of treating people with kindness.  Take the time to be kind to others and put others needs before yours.  In his last days, as much as he was hurting and in pain, he took the time to make every person that entered his room feel special and significant.  That brightened his day and it was so uplifting to see the joy it brought to those that walked in and out of his room each day.  This was also reciprocated by the nurses who showed so much compassion, concern and care for my Uncle.

Part of living for balance is that piece of taking the time to accept others into your life and genuinely taking the time to acknowledge their presence, and treat them with kindness.  As a Fitness and Health coach, I see the importance of taking the time to listen to others and give people the attention they deserve in an ever changing world of negativity and cruelty.  Each day is a gift and we should show others how much we care for them and appreciate their significance in our life.  Small acts of kindness go a long way to impact others that cross paths with you in life.
